Howdy y’all, I’m Britt. I’m a Texas-based author of dark contemporary romance.

I am a voracious reader and I fell in love with dark romances of all flavors, from mafia romances to modern relationship fiction to epic fantasy. I would give up food before I would ever surrender my Kindle Unlimited subscription. My love affair of reading eventually branched out into wanting to tell more of the kind of stories that I love to read: ones with not only dangerous men and formidable women, but also tales that are uniquely Texan and have the flavor of the state and all I love about it.

My debut novel, What We Build, begins the Mercer Saga series. It features Blake Whitmore, a sharp-tongued Dallas lawyer with a head for complex land deals. She must negotiate with Wyatt, CEO of Mercer Logistics and oldest of the three Mercer brothers. Blake and Wyatt are both working to expand the corporate and personal legacies they’ve inherited as well as determine who they are outside of those definitions. It has real stakes, unique voices, and showcases so much of what I love about Houston. It also made me very hungry to write it, because I had to give shout-outs to some of my favorite Houston eating spots.
